The dress, the shoes, the jewelry, the hair, the nails and where to eat. Who will drive, how late can we stay out and do you really have to know all the details. Cough, cough, a cloud of hair spray fills the bathroom, the smell of fingernail polish remover permeates the air and she wonders why she needs her inhaler. Safety pins, lotion, perfume, pocketbook, keys and don't forget the tickets and some money and out the door they go. My daughter and her BFF. Off to the prom. Her first and a sentimental milestone for me.She had a great time. Lots of fun and memories to be shared for years to come and we get to do this all over again next year. Happy, happy, joy, joy, one of the things I so love about parenthood... the opportunity to re-live your life again vicariously through your kids.
